Ammara Mushtaq, MD

As a physician and clinical investigator with over a decade of experience, Dr. Mushtaq founded Rasai Research with a clear purpose: to make clinical trials more inclusive. Having worked in both academic and independent research settings, she saw how language, trust, and access often kept Asian and immigrant communities from participating in research. With her vision and leadership, Rasai was created to break down those barriers and ensure that every community has a voice in advancing healthcare.

Amanda is a physician assistant and epidemiologist with experience in clinical medicine and public health. Before joining Rasai Research, she served as a medical epidemiologist with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where she contributed to infectious disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, and protocol development. Her clinical background includes orthopedic surgery, dermatology, and allergy and immunology. Amanda is committed to providing compassionate care to research participants while supporting high-quality clinical research.
